For applicants

• The course is open only to students (40) and to a limited number (10) of free listeners selected by the committee.
• The course is primarily aimed at university students of all levels, particularly motivated students in their final year of high school and teachers and professors who wish to broaden their specific knowledge on the subject.
• Evaluation criteria: a suitable curriculum and strong motivation; after shortlisting applications, the committee may invite candidates for an interview (15 minutes).
• Applications will be collectively evaluated by the Board of Committee of the Centre according to the selection criteria focusing on the motivation letter, curriculum vitae and interview.
• The genuinity of interest both in the main subject and in the specific topics addressed, as well as in the interdisciplinary studies and dialogue between the different fields of knowledge (scientific, philosophical and literary), will be the key factors in the admission selection.
• Before attending the course, students are required to read the bibliography provided by the teachers.
• Use of cell phones (or of any other electronic devices) is strictly forbidden during class lectures and discussions.
• Course units will be held mostly in Italian; major European languages can be spoken in forums and discussions.
• All activities and events are scheduled from Sunday 27 October (at 15:30) to Saturday 2 November (at 20:00). Participants must leave on Sunday morning, November 3.
• A more detailed schedule lessons will be posted by the first week of September.
• At the end of the course a certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.
• The course has been accredited as a continuing education and training course (law 107/2015, paragraph 124, with exemption from the service ex art. 64 CCNL 2006/2009 of the School Department).

The Accademia Vivarium Novum is able to provide 40 scholarships for academic participation in this conference. The scholarships will cover the costs of lectures, workshops, seminars, related cultural activities, meals, and lodging on the campus of the Accademia in Frascati, Rome.

Scholarships are open to all currently BA, MA and Ph.D. students, high school senior students as well as to all school teachers and college professors. To apply, please complete this form (Centro - application form - 2019.docx - general-regulations 2019.pdf), and send the following documents to corsi@vivariumnovum.net: a statement of purpose, passport scan, recent photograph, and a detailed curriculum vitae which highlights previous and current studies. Applications must be received no later than 20 October 2019.

The recipients of this scholarship will be required to attend the course in residence, and to submit a written essay (max 25,000 characters) by 15 January 2020. The issue of certificates will depend on submission of the essay.
