Admission

Pupils from sixteen to twenty-five years of age, already in possession of the fundamentals of Latin grammar and a solid foundation of vocabulary, are admitted to the Academy. Room, board and classes are all completely free, sustained through scholarships from the Mnemosyne foundation. Each year no more than forty students are accepted. Since the Academy is now housed in a building which belongs to a religious order, male students alone are accepted. Finally, all students are expected to maintain certain norms of behavior, which may thus be summarized:

- Alcoholic beverages, smoking and drugs of any kind are prohibited.
- Only classical music is allowed.
- Obscenities of any kind (in conversation, in performance, in composition and in any other situation) are not permitted. - A moderate and neutral manner of dress is required.
- Students must respect fundamental norms of hygiene.
- The established hours for breakfast, lunch, dinner, classes and chores must be observed.
If you would like to make a request for admission, please write to the Academy at the following address:
Via Corrado Barbagallo, 20 - 00166 Roma, Italy, or send an email to: accademia@vivariumnovum.it
